Concept
monsterDrive is our flagship saturation plugin: a dual-distortion device that goes from refined weight and grit to controlled chaos. It features two main flavors and a flexible EQ that pushes the right frequencies into distortion for targeted, musical saturation. It also includes a limiter, a mix knob, and three EQ modes, including a pre/post emphasis circuit for creative harmonic shaping.
This beast packs millions of possibilities. EQ pre-distortion to shape what hits the saturation engine, or EQ post-distortion to sculpt an already harmonically rich signal.
The pre/post emphasis circuit works by reverse gain-linking two EQ stages in series, one placed before the saturation engine and the other immediately after it. This lets you target specific frequency ranges, like the kick in a drum loop, the lows of a bass guitar, the midrange of a vocal, and more.
